	2026 U.S. Open Cup Qualified Qualifying for a second year in a row, LUFC finishes 4-2 over San Diego Internacional in front of a home crowd for the fourth and final qualifying match of the 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the 111th edition of the oldest ongoing national soccer tournament in the United States, featuring both professional and amateur teams from across the country. More to follow as the 2026 tournament start approaches.	2026-27 Open Tryouts for U6-U9 The 2026/27 registration season will return to an age group formation based on August 1–July 31 (rather than January 1–December 31) per U.S. Soccer’s implementation of school-year age groups. LUFC B2007/6 Blue 2025 EA National Champions U19	2025 College ID Camp Hosting over 70 players and 16 college coaches welcomed this year from NCAA, NAIA, and CCCAA!	Ethan Sullivan Named to Deaf MNT Ethan Sullivan, an LUFC B2006 youth player from Laguna Niguel, CA, started and finished his competitive youth years with the club from the age of 10. Recognized for his on and off the field character, including community service, long-time LUFC commitment, and scholar athlete honors, Ethan committed to Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2024 as a student-athlete. Now, he has been named to the U.S. Men’s Deaf National Team 2025 roster as a goalkeeper. Congratulations Ethan!

2024 EA Talent ID Teams Congratulations to our B2011 & B2010 players selected to represent the Elite Academy Talent ID Teams at the #MICCup in Spain! These players were selected after a nationwide scouting process across EA league and showcase games. Our players will travel and compete against European competition including Premier League Clubs such as Man City, in which the 2010 team has been grouped against.	2024 National id2 Team (ODP) Congratulations to Arul & Carter for being selected to the National id2 Team (Olympic Development Program). After a long process of regional training centers and national ID pools, they will travel to Portugal as two of only three Southern California players selected out of a National player pool. This great achievement is a testament to their development, and their teammates and teams who have been part of it. Congrats to all B10, B09, G10, G09 players for making it through regional training. From LUFC to FRAM Reykjavik Benjamin Jonsson (B2003 Blue) signed for FRAM Reykjavik in the second division of the Professional Icelandic Soccer Pyramid. Benji made his debut for the club upon his move from California in the summer of 2019. Prior to his move, Benji was a loyal member of the club and the B2003 Blue team since 2003, when he joined LUFC as an Under 8. Benji led B2003 Blue as their goalkeeper throughout his time in the U.S. where he took them to the Finals of the 2019 National Cup.	#54 in SoccerWire's Top 100 Congratulations to all players, coaches and staff at Laguna United FC. Your hard work, dedication and passion for player and team development has resulted in national recognition. Eleven clubs in the Southern California region make up the southwest division, which includes programming for 13-U through 19-U boys and girls teams.
